Our Speakers

Founder of IMS Luxembourg, "Inspiring More Sustainability”, he also created the Diversity Charter in Luxembourg which promotes diversity in all its shapes and created the Diversity Day which has become a national event in Luxembourg.

He is the co-author of the book “Upskill” and has developed a comprehensive methodology and IT platform to support companies to deal with major skills challenges. Advising companies on how to manage effects of digitalization on their workforce using advanced technologies, he is also leading the Skills bridge initiative: supporting companies to transition workforce through their digital transformation by up-Reskilling initiative.

A Luxembourgish clinical researcher and a pharmacist, she is also a published author, a child abuse prevention advocate and a single mother of 4 children.
Being a survivor of child sexual abuse and a warrior with the aim to outsmart the rare and aggressive cancer she has been diagnosed with, she decided to reach out and empower others to get through their own personal storm. She wrote and published her book ‘Cruelly betrayed’ in 3 languages all while undergoing heavy cancer treatment.

Advisor, university lecturer, author and an explorer of the unknown. After a business career with P&G, Lars decided to dedicate his life to exploring how leaders in their field excel in challenging environments. He’s always looking for tools (and not rules) that help all of us navigate the world of business and life better.

Growing up and studying all over Europe, Ilana understood the particularities and similarities of the continent and is passionate about making this world a better place by constantly looking for new challenges in sustainability.

“The future isn’t without digitalization, and my mission is to impose Green Tech as the way to lead by example for a better future.” The founder of FOOD4ALL also says that being a young female entrepreneur in a world led by men, isn’t a challenge but a mission to erase inequalities, to inspire other women to create their own companies and finally proving that all together hand in we can make this world a livable place for all of us.

After reaching the North Pole as the first Luxembourger, Patrick has not stopped exploring snow and ice areas all over the world. In his powerful talks he inspires and motivates leaders, decision makers and coaches with his passion and resilience. Patrick calls for fairness, transparency and open-mindedness. In his private life, Patrick is inspired daily by his wife and his two children.

Specialized in the audit of private equity, impact and microfinance structures, Aïssata is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of the Institut des Réviseurs d’Entreprises.

She is also a member of the executive committee of The Luxembourg Africa Investments Association and is co-chair of the Luxembourg Private Equity Association ESG Club. With a strong focus on emerging markets and Africa in particular, Aïssata is at the forefront of promoting the African growth story and advocating for greater levels of investments into Africa to realize the continent’s possibilities.

Originally from Ukraine, she has excelled in the field of science, now leading biological laboratories in the University of Duisburg-Essen in Essen, Germany.

An accomplished scientist with a PhD in chemistry, a mother of three beautiful children, she is also a public speaker and an author of the book “To Rock Your Life: Switch On Your Brain More Often Than Your Vacuum Cleaner”.

Jill Crovisier graduated in ballet and contemporary dance at the Conservatory of Esch-sur-Alzette (LU) before continuing her studies in China, France, the United States, Indonesia and Israel.

As a professional dancer, choreographer, videographer and active in dance therapy projects, the Luxembourgish Dance Award 2019 winner has also participated among others in the prestigious choreographic competitions in Hanover, Copenhagen, Stuttgart and was selected at Lucky Trimmer.

The purpose of TEDxLuxembourgCity is to bring people together to explore who we are and the world around us. We engage Luxembourg and the greater region to share and explain ideas and create a movement with a view to excite the community and build a better future for us all.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a programme called TEDx.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxLuxembourgCity, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxLuxembourgCity event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
